Community Connections
On January 12, 2013, Integrative Counseling Services participated in an Active.com event that asked organizations and individuals to hold a run to raise money for the victims and families of victims of the Sandy Hook tragedy. Eight counselors participated in a 5K run in Oswego, NY and raised $300 for the fund. Races took place all around the country to help support this deeply hurt community. These runs were held at different locations and on different days and times, but all proceeds were donated to the United Way of Western Connecticut Sandy Hook Victims. Some cities held 5Ks, triathlons, half-marathons, and marathons. To read more, visit
